Assessment of Mathematical Skills
Mathematical Skills
Dyscalculia Assessment

£700

Some learners have difficulty recognising and retaining mathematical concepts. Difficulties can stem from a number of areas including language & understanding; sequential processing; memory; auditory and/or visual perceptual problems.

SEND5 use a range of assessments, both formal and informal, to ascertain an individual’s numeracy skills. We use the information to build a better understanding of an individual’s strengths and difficulties and to plan appropriate intervention.

Dyscalculia is a condition that affects the ability to acquire mathematical skills. It is thought to affect around 5 percent of the population.

Dynamic Assessment
Dynamic Assessment
Full Dynamic Assessment

£700

Dynamic assessment investigates an individual's learning potential. It identifies strengths and also areas that inhibit learning. The activities clarify a student's ability to follow instructions, plan systematically, simultaneously consider more than two sources of information, verbally anticipate a solution, and express ideas verbally. The activities also identify behaviours affecting learning, such as perception, working memory difficulties, confidence levels and intrinsic motivation, levels of concentration, ability to accept challenge, ability to reflect and solve problems of increasing abstraction and use of analytical reasoning and logic.
